Imagine soaring over a stunning horse farm at dawn, drone buzzing, spraying beans with precision while dodging power lines. That’s the thrill of agricultural drone spraying.
At nuWay Ag, we’re revolutionizing farming with cutting-edge spray drones like the T60, tackling herbicide treatments for beans to zap broadleaves and pesky grasses. Our latest adventure took us to a picturesque field, where we faced a maze of power lines—big ones, small ones, and some that seemed to serve no purpose at all. But that’s just part of the challenge, and we love it.
Using our T60 drones, we set up for a 5-gallon-per-acre herbicide application, cruising at 10 feet above the crop with 300-micron droplets and 25-foot route spacing. The process starts with manual plus mode, where we fly the drone around the field’s boundary to map it out. Then, it’s go-time—hit start, and the drone locks in, spraying with precision. We covered 76 acres, including a 6.2-acre field, navigating tight squeezes under power lines and around poles. The FPV camera’s crystal-clear, low-latency feed made all the difference, keeping us in control even in tricky spots.
Horses in the field? They barely flinched—well, except for that one dramatic one in the back. With two T60s ripping through the fields, we got the job done fast, proving teamwork and tech make magic happen. Sure, there were hiccups—like Junior’s near-miss landing on the trailer edge—but staying calm and learning from mistakes is all part of the game.
Agricultural drones are the future of spraying, and they’re only getting bigger, faster, and smarter. Want to join the revolution? Explore our drones, trailers, and coaching to launch your own drone spray business. Hit that subscribe button on our YouTube channel for more epic field adventures!
