Excellent Performance with a Few Opportunities for Improvement

The D14000iE generator is a high-quality unit that performs exceptionally well in meeting the demanding power requirements of our Talos T60X drone fleet. It maintains reliable output throughout long spraying sessions and has proven to be a dependable part of our daily operations — no complaints in that regard.
That said, there are two areas where the user experience could be improved:
Noise Level: The generator is noticeably loud. After a full day of operation, the sound level (around 75 dB at 25 feet) can become overwhelming — ear protection is highly recommended. While the manufacturer’s literature refers to it as “low noise,” that’s certainly a matter of perspective.
Startup Flexibility: It would be helpful if the generator could start and operate independently, without requiring a battery to be installed in the charger on the flight deck. This would allow operators to use the 120-volt receptacles to power or charge other devices (such as small batteries or phones) even when drone batteries are not connected.
Overall, the D14000iE delivers excellent performance and reliability, and it pairs perfectly with the Talos T60X system. With a few refinements, it could easily set the standard for field-ready agricultural drone power solutions.
